Founded in 1953, The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers(IETE) is a leading professional society devoted to the advancement of science & technology of Electronics, Telecommunications & IT.The idea of Professional Activity Centre at Kozhikode was initiated by Sri.C K Haridas,Founder Chairman of Palakkad Centre when the number of students appearing for the IETE Examination at Palakkad Centre increased tremendously & became unmanageable.
